Looking for an easy, affordable summer outing for your childcare group?
Bring your group to Chappelle Gardens for some summer fun! Group Bookings are available to registered daycares, dayhomes, and out-of-school care programs on weekdays throughout July and August.
3-Hour Group Visit
$3 per child + GST
That’s just $1 per child, per hour.
Bookings require a minimum of 10 children and can accommodate groups of up to 150 children.
Visits are available between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Need a shorter or longer visit? Alternate booking lengths may be available by request.

Who Can Book?
Daycare Group Bookings are available to registered:
- Daycare Programs
- Dayhomes
- Out-of-School Care Programs
A minimum of 10 children is required per booking.
These rates are specifically for organized childcare groups and are not available for private gatherings, informal parent groups or other group visits.
What’s Included?
Your group will have access to the same amenities available for our School Group visits, including:
- Splash Park
- Playground
- Outdoor green spaces
- Designated group areas
- Washroom facilities
Group bookings do not provide exclusive use of the facility. Residents, guests and other groups may also be onsite during your visit.
Multiple daycare groups may be booked at the same time, with a maximum of 150 children onsite across all daycare group bookings.
Bringing More Than One Group?
We make it easy for organizations with multiple locations or groups to plan their summer visits.
You can request:
- Multiple dates for the same daycare or OSC
- Visits for multiple locations under the same organization
- Different group sizes for each visit
- Different arrival times for each group
Submit one request and tell us which locations and dates you’re interested in. We’ll coordinate availability with you.
Each visit must have a minimum of 10 children and is priced based on the number of children attending.
How Booking Works
1. Request Your Visit
Tell us when you’d like to visit, approximately how many children you’re bringing and whether you’re requesting our standard 3-hour visit or an alternate duration.
No payment is required to submit a request.
2. We’ll Confirm Availability
We’ll review your requested date and time and make sure we can comfortably accommodate your group.
If your requested visit is available, we’ll send you a provisional booking offer.
3. Secure Your Booking
You’ll have 5 business days to complete the required booking documents.
A valid credit card must be kept on file to secure your reservation. No damage deposit is required.
Daycare and OSC organizations are also required to provide current proof of insurance. If we already have a valid insurance document on file for your organization, you won’t need to submit it again.
4. Confirm Your Numbers
Your final number of children is due 7 days before each visit.
Your booking fee will be calculated using that confirmed attendance.
For example:
60 children × $3 = $180 + GST for a 3-hour visit.
Reductions after the 7-day deadline will not reduce your booking fee. Attendance increases may be accommodated subject to capacity.
5. Pay for Your Visit
Once your final attendance has been confirmed, you can pay in advance or pay in person when you arrive for your visit.
Food, Snacks & Lunches
You’re welcome to bring lunches, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages for your group. Glass containers are not permitted.
Your organization is responsible for managing participant allergies and dietary requirements.
Please clean up food, garbage and personal belongings before leaving.
Snack Shack
Want to add a treat to your visit?
Group Snack Shack orders may be available by advance preorder. Same-day group orders are not available.
We are unable to accommodate individual allergies or dietary restrictions through group Snack Shack orders. Children with specific dietary needs are welcome to bring their own snacks.
Supervision
Your organization is responsible for supervising children throughout your visit and for meeting all staffing, supervision and staff-to-child ratio requirements applicable to your program.
CGRA staff do not provide supervision for visiting groups.
What If It Rains?
Summer weather doesn’t always cooperate.
If weather affects your plans, our first option will be to reschedule your visit. Where availability permits, we’ll work with you to find another date.
If you choose to cancel instead while CGRA remains open and the amenities are available, a $25 administration fee will apply.
If CGRA closes an amenity or determines that conditions are unsuitable or unsafe for your booked activity, there is no cancellation or administration fee.
Cancellations
Plans change. Please let us know as early as possible if you need to cancel.
More than 14 days before your visit:
Your booking fee will be refunded or cancelled less a $15 administration fee.
7 to 14 days before your visit:
50% of your booking fee is refundable.
Less than 7 days before your visit:
No refund is available and the full booking fee remains payable.

Monday to Friday
9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Standard visit: 3 hours
Rate: $3 per child + GST
Maximum: Approximately 150 children
Shorter or longer visits may be available by request at $1 per child, per hour.
Groups must depart by their scheduled end time. Groups remaining beyond their reservation will be charged $50 for each additional 15-minute period or portion thereof.
