School Group Bookings are available for everything from a single class to approximately 150 students, with flexible options and special rates throughout the year.

Our Peak School Field Trip Season
June is our most popular time for school field trips.
To give participating schools a fair opportunity to access available dates, June bookings are not first-come, first-served.
The 2027 June Booking Request Period runs:
January 15 to January 30, 2027
Submit your request anytime during the request period. There is no advantage to submitting earlier.
After January 30, available dates will be allocated using a randomized rotating process.

How Many Students Can We Bring?
School Group Bookings are designed for approximately 150 students, with flexibility of up to approximately 15 students to accommodate class and grade sizes.
Required teachers, educational assistants and other supervising adults are in addition to the student capacity.
Schools must provide a minimum of one supervising adult for every 10 students.
Bringing a smaller group? That’s completely fine.
Our May, September and Winter pricing includes special rates for groups of up to 60 students, making School Group Bookings affordable for individual classes as well as larger groups.
School Group Rates
Neighbourhood School pricing applies to Donald R. Getty School and Garth Worthington School.
All other schools receive the Non-Neighbourhood School rate.

Morning: 9:00 am to 11:45 am
Afternoon: 12:15 pm to 3:00 pm
Half-day bookings are not available in June.
How June Booking Works
Because June demand can exceed the number of dates available, June uses a Booking Request Period instead of first-come, first-served booking.
Submit your June Booking Request between January 15 and January 30.
You’ll be asked to provide at least three dates that genuinely work for your group.
2. ONE REQUEST PER VISITING GROUP
Submit one request for each group of students that intends to visit together.
For example, if all Grade 5 classes plan to attend together on the same date, only one request should be submitted on behalf of the full group.
Different groups that genuinely require separate field trips may submit separate requests.
Duplicate requests for the same visiting group do not increase your opportunity to receive a preferred date.
3. DATES ARE ALLOCATED
After January 30, CGRA uses a randomized rotating process to allocate available dates.
The process is designed so schools with multiple legitimate requests do not receive all of their dates before other participating schools have an opportunity to receive a booking.
We’ll work through the preferred dates provided with each request and assign the highest available choice whenever possible.
4. CONFIRM YOUR DATE
If you’re offered a June date, you’ll have five business days to accept it and complete the required booking documentation.
Requests that cannot initially be accommodated may be placed on the June waitlist.
One School Per June Date
CGRA schedules only one school per June School Group date.
Your school can bring multiple classes or grades as part of your booking.
Please note that this does not mean exclusive facility use.
Chappelle Gardens remains open to residents and their guests throughout your visit, and School Group Bookings do not provide exclusive access to the Splash Park, playground, green space or other amenities.

Optional Rental Enhancements and Snack Shack preorders may also be available for an additional cost.
Payment & Invoicing
You do not need to pay when you submit your booking request.
Each confirmed School Group Booking receives its own invoice.
To make processing easier for schools, CGRA issues all invoices for the same school together twice per year.
June 30
Bookings occurring from December 18 through June 30

Bookings occurring from July 1 through December 17
This allows individual teachers and classes to arrange their visits independently while school administration receives the school’s invoices together.
Normal invoice payment terms apply.
Weather & Seasonal Conditions
Our Splash Park and skating rinks are outdoor amenities, so School Group Bookings are weather dependent.
The Splash Park typically opens around Victoria Day, depending on temperatures and facility readiness.
Our outdoor skating rinks require sustained cold temperatures of approximately -10°C or lower before they can be safely prepared and opened.
If CGRA closes the booked amenity or determines that your visit cannot safely proceed, there is no cancellation fee.
If your school chooses to cancel because of weather while CGRA remains open and the booked amenity remains available, the rental charge will be waived and a $25 administrative fee will apply.
Where availability permits, an alternate date may be offered.
Planning Your Visit
Students attending a skating trip must bring their own skates. CSA-approved helmets are strongly encouraged.
Students attending a Splash Park visit should bring appropriate swimwear, towels, sunscreen and any other personal items they may need.
Schools may bring lunches, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Glass is not permitted.
Snack Shack options are available to School Groups by advance preorder only.
A minimum supervision ratio of one adult for every 10 students is required throughout your visit.
